Salicylic Acid is a beta hydroxy acid that exfoliates the skin. This 2% treatment solution helps exfoliate the inside walls of pores to fight the appearance of blemishes and for better visible skin clarity with continued use.

I was really excited to start a skincare regime which I could actually stick to! The Ordinary products were being raved about everywhere and I could not wait to get my hands on them!

Generally I have good skin and don't tend to get spots/blemishes. However on the odd occasion I do breakout. I have had this product for around 3 months but I do not use this solution everyday, only when some redness or spots appear. I apply a small amount of the solution directly onto the affected area. I usually do this during the evening so it can stay on overnight. This has somewhat worked for me however in my opinion there are better products which I have used such as tea tree oil, sudocrem or even toothpaste! Yes toothpaste! As crazy as it sounds I have been using toothpaste on my spots (especially in my teenage years) overnight to reduce redness.

If you suffer from acne then I would recommend visiting your doctor so that they can potentially prescribe you something stronger as this will benefit you more.
